# Get account

`GET https://api.signwithsigil.com/v1/me`

The account the key belongs to: its plan, the documents it can still send, and its verified custom domains.

Call it before sending to check `documents.available`, or to find the `domain_host` values you can send under.

## Authorization

Header `Authorization: Bearer sgk_…` (or `X-Api-Key: sgk_…`).

## Response

`200 OK`: The [account object](/api-reference/objects/account).

- `email` (string): The account's email address.
- `plan` (string): The membership. One of: `free`, `starter`, `pro`, `business`.
- `member_level` (integer): The membership as a number: 0 Free, 1 Starter, 2 Pro, 3 Business.
- `documents` (object): What you can still send. See [Documents and plans](/concepts/documents).
  - `available` (integer | null): Documents you can use now: this month's remaining allowance plus pack documents. `null` when unmetered.
  - `unmetered` (boolean): `true` for an account that is never charged documents.
  - `monthly` (object | null): This month's allowance. `null` when unmetered.
    - `granted` (integer): This month's allowance.
    - `used` (integer): Used from it so far.
    - `remaining` (integer): Left in it.
    - `period_start` (string (date-time)): The start of the month (UTC).
    - `resets` (string (date-time)): When the next allowance starts. Unused documents do not roll over.
  - `packs` (integer): Documents left in purchased packs. Packs never expire.
  - `signers_per_document` (integer): Signers one document covers (3).
- `domains` (array of strings): Your verified custom domains, usable as `domain_host` when creating a pact.

## Errors

| Status | When |
|---|---|
| 401 | The API key is missing, wrong or revoked. |
| 403 | The account's plan does not include API access (Pro and Business do). |

Every error body is `{ "error": "message" }`.
