# Download the sigil

`GET https://api.signwithsigil.com/v1/pacts/{uid}/sigil.pdf`

The pact's sigil, its certificate of completion: each signer, when they viewed and signed (UTC), from which IP address, the consent they gave, both document hashes and the full event log.

Available once the pact is `sealed`. Keep it with the signed PDF as the record of how it was signed. The file is named `… - certificate.pdf`, since it travels to people who do not know Sigil's words.

## Authorization

Header `Authorization: Bearer sgk_…` (or `X-Api-Key: sgk_…`).

## Path parameters

- `uid` (string, required): The pact's 8-character id. Not case-sensitive.

## Response

`200 OK`: The PDF (`application/pdf`), as an attachment.

## Errors

| Status | When |
|---|---|
| 401 | The API key is missing, wrong or revoked. |
| 403 | The account's plan does not include API access (Pro and Business do). |
| 404 | No such pact, or it is not sealed yet. |

Every error body is `{ "error": "message" }`.
